Lude is Out of Commision for a bit

Well, I was coming back to Studio City today from Long Beach. I was getting off of the freeway and creeping along at like 1mph, when the huge GMC Denali in front of me stopped and I guess I wasnt paying attention, and the passenger side of my bumber went right into the overly huge trailer hitch . I guess I am going to have to get a whole new front bumper. The best thing is the girl who gets out of the car was like 20 something. I was thinking, why do you need to be driving such a huge SUV with this trailer hitch.

Im really mad at myself right now. I will be taking it in to my bodyshop tomorrow morning. Hopefully have it out of there by wednesday. Does anyone in here know how much a new front bumber cover costs?

Wish me luck that I dont get raped for money.

you can get a new front bumper cover off Ebay for fairly cheap. . .it's the paint that is going to make it expensive.

$85 is a good deal. I just want it fixed as soon as possible. My bodyshop guy can probably turn this around in 48 hours. If I bought it off ebay, I would have to send the guy the money, then he would have to ship it me from Illinois. I wouldnt get it fixed for quite some time if I bought it over ebay. Thanks for the help though.

Well, I got my estimate to fix the damage to my Lude. Total is $1063. Im very sad . Well at least I can get them to fill the holes in the new bumper cover so I dont have that "H" on the front anymore. So thats a good point. Plus, when I bought the car the front bumper cover was not on perfect, like it had been in an accident before. So now it will be 100% perfect. Now I just have to learn to leave a 1 mile cushion in front of me at all times while driving, I guess that is the only way to keep from getting into another accident.

My Lude will go into the shop tomorrow, and I will get her back on Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

Good news... my bodyshop guy is going to fill in the two small holes that hold the front "H" symbol on. Now I will have a clean front. It makes me feel better after handing over $1000.
