lowering springs vs coilovers

This may be a dumb question, but what is the difference between the 2, and why would one choose one over the other?? thanks

lowering springs are a set drop say 1.2 or 1.5 or 2.0 inch drop but coilovers are anywhere between .5 - 3.5" drop (gc) or 1-4' drop (the rest) ground controls are the best imo cuz if u dont want have the $ for shocks or comber kits u can set it at .5 while u save up.

ummm.... If you gonna set it @ ".5" while you save up.... why not just save up instead for a full suspension kit... while you stay stock height.... .5 is pretty much stock. Sorry .. .don't see the point in that.

I don't have the loot for shocks... so I just picked up H & R race... 1.9 drop in front 1.6 in back.... I believe springs are much easier on your stock shocks than any coilover... even if it would be set at a mere .5 the actual spring is much much stiffer ... therefore just murdering your shocks.... that's my 2 cents worth.

Given your name and previous posts, I figured youd just be riding on cut-down stock springs. . .
