I'm wanting to update teh factory OEM shocks and coils on my 94 vtec prelude and looking to lower my ride hieght by 1 or 2 inches as well.

Are there any recommendations on good quality updates which are reasonably priced?

Also, does anyone have a guide on replacing these? Since, I'll probably end up doing the work myself since I've only got a little $$.

I got a set of KYB gr2's(10,xxx mi) and neuspeed sport springs(30,xxx mi). About 1.6in drop. $270 with top hats and forks plus shipping. Got PayPal and pics also. Pm me if interested. Its ready to bolt right in.

Function form types 1's. They are full coilovers. Pretty good for daily driving only stiff on huge bumps and they run for $540-$630. My friend bought them for his EG and he is very satisfied with how they ride.
