Looking into exhausts and I was just curious if the N1 was too loud

Im looking to buy a muffler for my lude ( stock needs to be replaced and I don't want to spend the cash on a catback ) and I was thinking N1 cause I really like how deep my bro's sounnds on his Del Sol but I was just curious how they sound on the H22 cause I don't wanted a blaring exhuast.

Thanks,
Dane

with just an n1 muffler it wouldnt be too loud, but still loud enough to piss off some people. Save your money and get a good catback that will actually give you some extra power and not just the sound of a rice burner.

^^^^agreed. There are quite a few threads on good sounding exhaust and some sound clips.

Greddy sp/evo and RSR are some of the common ones around here.

I have an N1, and I like it a lot...it can sound ricey...if you rev it unnecessarily but it DID give me more power...i haven't had it tuned but w/ the cat back im guessing by the butt dyno that its around 8-9hp more at optimum driving conditions. It does annoy some people...but those are usually people that i could care less if i annoy (aka non-car people) i DO however have and H23,so the numbers could be off...let me know if you have any other ?'s

N1 is so loud. Greddy Evo, Fujitsubo, or RSR would be your best bet

N1 is LOUD. Don't get it unless you like the attention. Especially, the cops. I like the hum.........but RSR seems to be the best choice from what I've seen.

well he said he needs to replace his muffler anyway...so he needs to at least decide on a muffler. It is kind of a waste to just get a muffler though and not a whole catback, but its up to you.

yeah i'd say if your going to replace just the muffler, get the whole deal (cat back). i have had my N1 for a year almost and the cops haven't said a thing to me (knock on wood) i haven't been pulled over for quite some time....its just on how you drive. you see the civic's with coffee can's like mine (lol) and they get pulled over for being stupid 90% of the time.

if you want the N1, get it and don't be stupid.

I know I biased but I have yet to hear a 4-cylinder with a lower exhaust note than my Thermal R&D, a slight gain up on top as well...
