Looking for exhuast... that tucks nicely.

Hey, i have the Apexi N1 exhuast on right now. im on eibach sportlines. I have abouttttttttt 4-5" clearance on the car.. but the mid-piping only has about 1-2" clearance.. its LOW.

And basically the roads here in my area are ASS and the exhuast is getting beat the hell.

Is there a good exhuast that tucks up nicely and fits snug?

Possibly the Greddy Power Extreme? (VA Ludin is selling a PE)
But from what ive seen the muffler on the PE is larger then the N1...

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Creighton

(PS. i searched.... )

yeh i also noticed that Apexi exhaust hangs a little lower, my friend has the Dunk on his lude. I have a Tanabe Hyper and its tucked under the car very snug, it doesnt hang low. My car is lowered about 2-2.5" and i dont scrape my exhaust too much.

I dont know how the greddy fits but i do know that the PE muffler if larger than the N1.

Yes, the Greddy PE has a larger muffler but the exhaust piping follows the same route as the stock pipes did. They fit snug just below the heat shield under the chassis of the car.

I have never scraped the piping since I've had the exhaust, but I have scraped the muffler twice because that hangs pretty low.

My car is lowered 1.75 inches with 18's in the summer and stockers in the winter.

Thanks for the reply's

i think what im going to do is just replace the mid-piping with some custom bent stainless steel. (Just the larger straight piece)
Cuse the muffler or back section RARELY hits anything, its the mid-piping.

I think i can get away with that, and save the Apexi Piping for when i need it i guess. =] the Shed's already got the stock exhuast, might as well add the apexi.

for the rice you are going to pay for the stainless steel piping you may as well get a complete SS system already made for your car. The Thermal exhaust tucks nicely and is a complete SS system. FYI

Same problem

I have the EXACT same problem with my EXACT exhaust (not to mention I'm also in VA and I agree....the roads SUCK here). I bought mine used from a friend and took a look at it when I put it on. It looks like it can be adjusted but I didn't have a gasket (I knew it was going to ruin the one in there now if I took it apart), so I didn't take it off. Of course, I've gotta wait till it get's a little warmer out before I try anything with my car.

hehe, at least im not alone =]. If you figure out how to get it to fit up tighter in the "exhuast tunnel" let me know, and vise versa. heh.

Crate.

Do you have a picture of the Tanabe Hyper on your lude h23lude?

Thanks.

Yeah I know what you guys are talking about with Apexi's b-piping hanging low. I've heard other people have helped fix it by getting different rubber hangers??

Also, Crate and Curvebal33, other than the low piping do you like your N1's?? I'm thinking about getting one sometime soon, but I don't want it to be TOO loud or annoying? Does it sound nice?

I can't speak for Crate (seeing as I'm a dumb@$$ and didn't read that it was an N1 and not a WS), but I love my World Sport. Nice low tone, hardly noticeable at low RPMs...then it get's a little more mean when you push it. I like it because it's not too loud. www.preludeparts.com has a decent pic of it I think.
