Both of those setups are insane.
I wonder what the cost is for either of the setups... I am sure it is well into the 15 thousand mark.

Question--sarcasm not intended
When there are cars out there that could cost you much less in the long run and get you 1/4 miles much faster, what is the motivation for this level of dedication to your prelude?
I would love to have my Prelude at the level of these guys, but when the dreaming starts wanting money to fund for this kind of work.... that is where I lose motivation.

I could understand if most of the work was done in yer garage, but the kind of intensity required for these engines can't be done in the garage.

I dont understand.. yet I want to.. heh

Your screen-name describes us...

I agree in a way. By the time I'm done(if ever) I will have spent $15k+the original $11k for a car that will hopefully stand tough with the best of the Exotics. It's a challenge too, 10 yrs ago some gear-heads said that a 4cyl. would never get out of the 13's, boy they were wrong. How would you like to live the scene out of Fast&Furious against a ferrari!!! I love my car too much to consider anything else. I could've had an Eclipse running 12's for what I've spent so far to run 14's. Or a Z-28 running 11's. Just to give you an idea of how passionate some of us are: If someone gave me a Vette tomorrow, I would sell it for 1/2 price to buy the turbo-kit and pro-built motor for my Lude.

Okay.. now that tells alot.
That is true dedication and I also would love to outrun and ferarri. I dont know if that could justify me spending 15k+ on the car, but then again.. it has cost me 5k in engine fixes.. and that is one third the way. heh

On the other hand.. someone that can justify 15k on their lude and outruns a ferarri I hafta give props to.

Has that ever happened?

This is how I see it, if you love the car, love the body lines, and love the feel... then why not pour money into it?? I love my car and i have put $8,000 into it so far... why, you ask b/c I love it...
I don't want another car thats cheaper and faster, b/c its not going to be a Prelude....

I love the way my car looks and feels... not to many of my babys on the streets... when people see you drive by in a car thats differnent and IS fast... thats going to turn heads... not the norm... if you go the norm you are going to get the norm if that makes sense...

Do what makes you happy, b/c thats what I do...

I can't believe XES got into the 12's with a .9XX reaction time I mean if he could cut that down to .4xx he'd be in the high 11's. Hey XES I'll drive your car and it'll be in the 11's easy . I've got a buddy that builds up stangs and goes to the drag strip ALL the time. He watched me launch my car and said I could pull a .500 easy. Let my drive it PLEASE......

J/k I know you would never let anyone else drive that piece of art.

Peace

Reaction time has absolutely nothing to do with your final time unless you are racing in competition.

Example: #1 #2
R/t .900 .600
1/4 11.9 12.1
lose win

The clock doesn't start ticking until you cross the line. You could have 3.0 sec. r/t and still run you best run and it will not effect the final time.
