Longer 5th gear? - Honda Prelude Forum

Does anyone know of a company that makes a final drive and a longer 5th gear for the H22 trans. My buddy got his final drive from ATS and used the LS 5th gear in his civic SI, and I really like the idea of a longer 5th gear for cruising on the freeway.

I have only heard of a shorter 5th gear for people who use there car as a raceway.

EDIT: S model tranny has a much longer 5th gear than a si or vtec tranny, lower final drive as well.

im planning on dropping the 5th gear from my S trans into my Vtec.

i wish i had a 6th gear for hghway cruisin. gas mileage would be alot better at 100mph

There's an Accord tranny that has an even longer 5th gear than the S Lude and it's from an F series engine too

my friend has a 91 accord and his 5th gear is amazing, its like 2500 rpms at 70mph

well, i am planning on swapping the gears but i need to find a donor vtec or si trans. I dont wana take mine out of my car. I can try to get a mangeled one from hmotors i guess. He said he had one that had NO reverse. Im sure i could get a good deal on that one.
