Little Black Box.......

There's a little black box that sits directly on top of the transmission mount behind the battery. It connects to the intake manifold and has a little hose that was connected to the stock intake. After putting in my AEM CAI a while back I just capped it with a little condom like cap thingy. I just want to know if this thing is really necessary now since I've got the aftermarket intake. The black box seems to have nothing at all in it.

There is also a 3 or 4 pin plug connected to the side of it.....any clues?

It is the control box for the IAB? system. It controls the butterfly valve in the stock resonator and opens them at a specific RPM. I just removed the box alltogether and capped the vacuum port on the IM.

HTH,

tear that thing out, along with all the vacuum lines associated with it... just don't forget to cap the vacuum lines that lead back to the IM
