205's are understandable, i was commenting on the profile. would done 215 50 or 205 50. keeps a closer rolling radius, better mileage and keeps the speedo closer.
So being opened minded means putting a wheel set up that belongs on a rear wheel drive car, makes a front wheel drive car drive worse, having people think you're a poser or doesn't know what he's doing just so you can look cool? If so I'll take being closed minded boring looking preludes.
While you're trying to be different why not put 4 piston calipers with huge rotors in the back of the car too. No one else does it. You'll be so original.

Na I think that woulda been too much profile tho, which equals more of a chance for rubbin…also, there was a limited amount of tires I could find smaller than 195s, so I found 185/50 toyos and wanted to keep the total diameter as close as possible to the 185/50, which equaled the 45 profile I went with on the 205s….

Good choice on the 205/45's
thanks...i mite hafta play around with the current drop after i throw em on...ill have to c.....
i was wonderin y the current wheels on my lude look so sunken in..i thought they were 6.5s...today i jus realized they were 15x5.5s when i was test fittin the wheels......after boring them out, they fit perfectly on the hub now......rears do stick out as expected but we'll c how drastic it is when i get em mounted....
I doubt it. When he lowers on sport suspensions, the pros will out weight the cons of the wheel setup.
Maybe. Pros will be aesthetic which he is looking for. Lowering the car to handle better in turns is negated by the additional wider stance in the rear of the car offset + wider width wheel = more grip in the rear. Narrower front tire = less grip in the front. Now when he turns the car is going to want to drive straight. So lowering it doesn't really out weight the setup.

It all depends how he sets up his suspensions to make up for the width difference. Obviously though it's for looks only. He never said he was doing it for performance, so no need to hate so much.
good looks for the support and for seein wher im comin from......i aint lookin for much performance outa this car with its lil f22 motor!! lol ........these wheels are prob gunna b off when i do my swap next spring....
