Light-Signal switch and Washer switch smaller?

Someone know if the Combination light/turn signal switch and the windshield washer switch can be cut to make them smaller?

My purpose is to remove the dash without having to lower the steering wheel (which have quick release)

I know it will be hard to turn the lights on and use the washer switch...

For what purpose do you need to quickly remove the dash all the time?

Well I can't help you with your question, but why don't you just drop the steering column haha.

I know its not so difficult to remove 4 more bolts... but that were other of the reasons of installing the quick release (stock steering wheel was worn out)

I open the washer switch, and as I imagine, it can be made, but now I'm not sure about it... and I have to confirm the light/signal switch is about the same.. and find the pin wich when finally get out (about after 3 hrs) it get lost.

Its the cover with two half circles with a sprig (inside the half circles and the cover) that makes contact with the "gears" and all goes in the white long rod (from cover to end (switch)).

dremel... cut, make a hole in the rod insert something, glue or exposy, and/or try to melt it with a soldering iron and paint with krylon fusion

I unmout both, and are the same type, so it can be made...

but I was taking measurments of the spacing between the dash and them and the space is too short...

it wont work to remove the dash...

i took some pics of them unmouted (all the pieces out), if someone is interested, post here.. or PM but i almost dont look them

I've read this thread 4 times and see no logical reason for this modification

But hey, good luck

i'm in college.. i suppose to spend more time stuying that with the car, pc, phone, ect...
and fiberglass smell bad and sanding it takes time...

i could drive without the dash because the distance between the apartment and college is short... but what if a cop stops me and ask about the dash vin number?

but i'm not doing it... i could trim it a bit to match the small steering wheel, but no.

i think i can remove the steering wheel cover and remove the switches and the dash can be taken out without lowering the steering wheel (in my case that i have quick release)
