Legend Calipers, bigger second Piston than the NSX?

well im upgrading my brakes, i have Si ones anyways, i found some legend ones for a good price, was wanting NSX ones, but im being told that actually the larger piston in the legend one is bigger than the NSX, logically this makes snse being that the legend is a heavy ass car, more power needed to stop where as the NSX is much lighter...for the 300 plus difference the NSX ones dont seem worth it to me? thoughts on this?

Legend calipers = 42mm and 38mm.
NSX = 40mm and 36mm
Si calipers = ~57mm

depends if you buy em new or used. i got mine for $120 shipped from a junkyard in Oregon, but I rebuilt them... both rebuilding kits cost $54!

prices:
legend calipers(after core charge)= 85x2 = 170 (thanks mike)
brembo blank rotors- 35 x2 =70 (thanks mike again)
aem pads 55
stainless steel brake lines=80 from turboevo on this site
fluid+brakleen+misc=15
total=390
this is to do it right of course, if your rotors are ok, then leave them. same with pads and even the brake lines. but if you really want to get the most out of this, you will need ALL of the things i listed. i am really happy with my new brakes, and i feel like i got a bargain..

I just bought Mikes last pair of Legend calipers last thursday. I'm doing the same conversion except me having an SI, I had no choice but to buy new rotors (VTEC). But again, brembo blanks from Mike for the same price as Marshdogg. I also got the Stainless lines from the same place. I'm waiting for the parts to come in but from what I've heard on this board and HT.com it's an upgrade well worth the price.

have fun finding a rebuild kit. Acura doesn't sell em, Autozone, Napa, Discount AutoParts, and Pepboys don't list them.

i think i got mine from partsamerica.com. not too sure.

there shouldn't be any stopping problems with Legend calipers on an Si. Just bleed your brakes several times to make sure ALL the air is out.

I was wondering about the stopping power of the Si Calipers and Rotors with the JDM H22a.

I used VTEC lines. Si lines will fit and Legend ones should fit.

Damn! I thought that I had to replace the master cylinder with a VTEC one when upgrading to Legend calipers and VTEC rotors! I went with powerslot rotors and Hawk HPS pads because of my assumption. I hope they don't fade to bad at the track.
