Finally done! it was a b**ch to do, but i feel pretty good about it considering i've never done anything like it before Hope you like! I used PiOus write-up as a guide.
beautiful, but why is your clock in the middle of the instrument cluster? Did you put a monitor there too?

had to extend the harnesses for the clock and the warning lights. About six inches for those. Also extend the wires from the clock knob a foot or so since it connects to the opposite side of the assembly.
Hey Bertico78 ... other than the wire extension... was everything else for it pretty much plug & play (for gas/temp/clock.. that whole JDM piece) ??

thanks man!!...that's a true compliment coming from the LED master
I did place some blue film, but the display dims a lot when the headlights are on. I'm gonna try different shades, i just wanna completely eliminate the green but keep it as bright as possible

ah yes
I remember seeing the display dimmed in the daytime, didn't even know it was on! Maybe if you have the circuit board open you can try to trace the lighting circuit which dims it, then cut it to prevent it from dimming the screen (but keep the rest of the back-lights intact)

Hmmm....that's an idea....and a very good one too. I'd love to keep the digital display full bright along with the LEDs, that would be a sight! thanks! i'll give it a try next time i open it up.
Originally posted by POH I heard there's a wire that leads to the clock that can be cut, so when you turn on your parking lights..... the clock Doesn't dim out. Is this true?

Yes it's true...the wire is a thick red one w/ a black tracer.
That is the combination light wire. It gives voltage to a dimming circuit located inside the gauges and digital displays. If you cut it, your gauges, clock, etc. will not dim when the headlights go on....
I have already taken this a step further and hooked the CC combination light wire to the dimmer knob, so i control the brightness of all the gauges/clock and Climate control at will

Sweet... I'll try & get that wire cut this weekend... thanks!
Does this wire run to the clock harness or to the other one??
