Leather steering wheel...

Greetings all,

I am looking for a place where I can get a kit to wrap my 4th Gen steering wheel in leather. I called Honda and they discontinued the kits, they used to sell them. I inquired about purchasing the entire steering wheel, however at $600, this option quickly faded away.

Thanks.

You could probably do it yourself. There is a guy who does this service and makes it look really good (trial and error though).

I would assume any upholstery shop could do it or leather works place. I think you could do it though, it's just like sowing.

I called a few local shops and they can't do it. One shop told me they have a kit, but he said it doesn't look as good as the OEM one.

This guy did it.

My Steering Wheel. - Bimmerforums - The Ultimate BMW Forum

With a little bit of patience, I think anyone could do it.

You might want to try to find a good condition VTEC wheel that is already leather wrapped. I believe there is one in good shape on ebay right now. That way you'll stay oem and only be spending $50.

Nothing a basic leather goods shop won't sell you. Again, it's up to how much you really want to put it.

I can totally understand why you would want to pay someone to do it rather than do it yourself.
