Largest speed bump I can cross with Eibach Sportlines?

I am waiting for my KYB AGX struts to show in my mailbox so I can install the Eibach sportlines that I have had for over four months now. I am concerned about the more than ample sized speed bumps in my apartments parking lot. They are pretty big and I have never crawled under the car when driving over the speed bumps to see how much clearance I have. When I drop my car the 1.8" it states, is it an actual 1.8"?? Should I be concerned?? What is the best way to figure out if I am ok?

I am also concerned with the drop on the KYB's. Is 1.8" too low?

i never had any problems when i had my sportlines. I was using stock shocks and never rubbed on any speed bumps. I wouldn't worry if I were you.

Good deal. I am careful everywhere I go now. I don't Dukes Of Hazard over speed bumps or anything.

You'll have no problem Andy. Mine is lowered about the same distance and I never worried much. Just be alert at all times and try to take the bumps and entrances to to driveways on an angle if at all possible. Entering on angles helps a lot when try to avoid scrapes.

On the other hand, if you get a kit with side skirts then you have something to worry about. Until then you should have no worries.

I have sportlines and let me say this, I feel for your downpipe and towhook, I really do...

I have no problems, but I defintely know where I can drive...get to know where your downpipe and flex mesh hangs, and save it at all costs, I had to replace mine!

I have been watching for awhile now to know where I can drive but I just moved into these new apartments and haven't checked everything out. There are a couple of places I don't dare go. The tow hooks are in a bad spot all together.

The downpipe does hang low now but as long as you are careful and know your limitations you won't have a problem. I haven't scraped my downpipe, flex pipe or side skirts in the two years it has been lowered.

Soemtimes it is a PITA, but it's worth it to avoid the scrapes. I sometimes take the long way around entrances and go in the back way if it looks less steep. Just use your better judgment and if you are second guessing yourself about possibly getting inot a driveway, then that probably means that you shouldn't attempt it. Trust your first instinct.

Let's just say I don't drive anywhere I haven't been before, I spec out the area before I pull in a driveway. And yes I will stop and turn around if I have to!

your sportlines will be like my sportlines over time. Mine sagged to like 2" around. But I have no trouble over any apeed bumps. Besides the mudgaurds getting scraped but thats about it. My tow hook gets it every once in a while but I don't care. The downpipe gets scraped at a certain parking lot in my schoool because there is not enough room to angle. The exhaust, every once in while because it hangs low, but only in extreme cases like going up a flatbed truck.

What about the drop on the KYB's. 1.8 isn't to much is it?

I have the sportlines and I'm riding on stock shocks... I have scraped something i think its the down pipe on very steep inclines... Now i just avoid them...otherwise the only speed bumps I scrape on are the little tall ones...like 4-6 inches in height..I have those @ my work...just go slow and you shouldn't have any problems!

I looked last night. I think I am going to have problems with scraping the mud gaurds. I can't picture my car with out them either. I have to cross two speed bumps and the last one is the only one I am worried about. I could park on the other side but then I would be able to see my car or hear the alarm if it goes off. And it is getting cold here and when ice comes I don't want to be walking through all of it.
