How cheap are you thinking they are? Why would you think something that holds your door in place would be cheap to begin with. I don't know about you but if someone told me door hinges for my car were 50 bucks, I'd skip out on them. Much less if they're supposed to open vertically while not breaking and sealing properly.

"Good" quality kits are over a grand, they tend to come with warranty, are usually tested and tend to be stronger than cheaper ones. I have heard of someone using an ebay kit and it working perfectly fine for a few years now, so they're not all crap.

There's some kits on ebay advertising no cutting or welding needed to install, meaning "bolt-on" kits. They're like $299.99 + 50 shipping, and there's a few more for like 400 shipped.

Try those at your own risk, as there aren't too many who have those ebay ones on their ludes. The whole issue of style preference and most importantly safety have always come up when someone asks about them.

May be true for the fellas, but I do have to say that:
If you're looking to impress women though = lambo doors hit the spot.
Funny thing is last 3 girls I've dated have all mentioned, " now all u need are some sexy ass lambo doors like "batman"

"Hey girl, I just got me a new 600 dollar exhaust" her =
"Hey girl, wanna see my new 1,000 dollar header? her =
"Hey girl, like my new 200 dollar intake?" her =

Pick up a girl -- " oh, hey baby, let me get the door for ya" *wamm door slides up" Her = = Seksssss that night.

NOTE: I do not have vertical opening doors, but this is pretty much how it would go. Results will Vary. Use at your own risk.

If you need to impress a girl with doors that open a different way...

Look red2010_2008, for the most part you are going to get what you pay for. When it comes to aftermarket car stuff, good + cheap is a rare find.

If you need lambo doors on your honda to impress a girl you really have some personal hygiene and manners issues to take care of before you start spending money on lambo doors

girls have always loved my car, I've even had them sitting like 3 in the back just cause they wanted to ride. Hell my fiance thinks my 94 is the sexiest car, I made the joke I would have to sell it to afford her ring, she looked me dead on and said if I sold that car she would kick the **** out of me...god I love her.

Okay. I figured it out.

You guys must be in your mid 20's or older...
I've owned my lude since 16 and every girl I've ever known who's been in it has commented. Also, friends of friends of friends have also as well, but again, they've been 16-21 yrs old. I'm 20 now and still get some compliments. I don't know if I'd get some from 25-40 year olds though...

It's because not only have they never heard of the car but you don't really see them on the road as often as other cars. i.e. civics, mustangs, grand ams, cavaliers, accords, corollas etc.

I just bought a c5 zo6 and I still have the lude, my girlfriend said if I ever even thought about selling my lude she'd buy it, she still prefers driving around in the lude instead of the vette.

There were 98,627 4th gens ever produced. I see them with somewhat of a normal manner on the road. It doesn't help that I indirectly noticed preludes more.

I barely get compliments on my car and there were only 3200 ever made in the US.

98,000 compared to other cars isn't much at all.
  • Best-selling car nameplate - Toyota Corolla (more than 32,000,000 sold in nine generations since 1966)
  • Best-selling vehicle nameplate - Toyota Corolla (more than 32,000,000 sold in nine generations since 1966)
  • Best-selling single model - Volkswagen Beetle (21,529,464 of the same basic design sold worldwide between 1938 and 2003)
  • Best-selling coupe - Ford Mustang (1964–present) — over 8,000,000 in five generations.
  • Best-selling 2-seat car - Chevrolet Corvette (1,302,401 sold between 1953 and 2003 (1,407,858 between 1953 and 2006, not including 2006 Z06)) [7]
  • Best single-year sales - >1,000,000 - Chevrolet Impala, 1965.[8]
  • Best single-month sales - 126,905 - July 2005 Ford F-Series [9]
  • Best Selling Minivan - Dodge Caravan, over 11,000,000 sold.
We're talking about millions of these cars being sold and produced, even if they have been through 40 years, it just means there's tons of them on the road. In 1 generation making less than 100,000 is low for a typical road car.

Of those 98,000 how many made it to the U.S? 1/4th, 1/3rd? Of those, how many are still running? I'm just saying compared to other cars this old, 12-16 yrs old, I'd consider it rare in it's own form. Not rare like your M coupe, but fairly low in quantity for a Honda.
