Heres a question for any tech heads out there!
Whne I power break! Break and accelerate (to do a burnout) not that I do this often at all, more of a quirie then anything else..
The car revs to about 2500rpm 3000rpm and does want to go higher.. is this just a lack of power? or because I have some heavy arse 17's and the engine wont produce enough power to try spin the wheels.
My Lude is an auto h23a, does anybody have some input into this? has anybody done a burnout with a NA Auto h23?
as I said, this is a quirie and I have only tried this a couple times just to see what it would do..

Put it in Neutral (N), rev it a few times to get the rpm going. When you're ready, keep the foot on the gas pedal and stick it in Drive (D) at a high rpm.
Think of it as if you were driving a stick. Please don't hold me accountable.

HEHEHEHEH as I said I was only wondering what would happen only ever tried it twice in 2 years so that shouldnt hurt to much! I did accidently whiel driving put it in nutrual and drop it back in drive... that caused some smoke WHOOPS!!!
I dont think I would ever hurt my car intentionally

excuse me this may be a stupid question but you are not actually hitting the foot brake right? on a front wheel drive car power braking is done with the hand brake because 75 percent of braking is on the front wheels the hand brake only locks up the rear and when you hit the throttle to wheels that are also trying to be stopped with most of the braking power that seems to me that it would be a little hard to get them spinning please correct me if I'm wrong.

well from what i unerstand from ur expanation, ur describing how i launch at teh drag strip.... hold the break down hard and the acceleartor hard... then let go of the break...(this is in order to launch at higher rpms, and yes i do get better times this way) but yeah if u want to do a burnout, crank that ebrake handle far back and then try using the engines torque to burn, and if that doesnt work try both the ebrake and regular brake to get the rpms higher, ive been able to do it both ways with my h23 auto. if u really really want to burn out, with lots of smoke for a pic or vid or somthing, lay down some water or spray tires with wd40
heheheheheh Im meaning it more as a question about an auto lude having the abilty to produce stand still wheel spins, with my stock rims I used to chirp away from the line, when I power breaked then let off the brake and accellerated it spun more. but with 17's lower tyre pressure.. and e-brake which doesnt hold that well I was just wondering
