KOYO Radiator Fitment Question

Im having trouble installing my aftermarket radiator in my 94 Prelude. The drain plug and bossess for the cooling fan bolts hit or are too close to the crossmember to fit in my car. Also the stock fans do not clear the AC lines (Im assuming I will have to buy slim aftermarket fans.

To get to the point of the story, is this common and for those with aftermarket radiators....did you have the same problems and how can they be resolved? Thanks

Are you talking about the aluminum Koyo Racing radiator? If so, those what you listed are the common problems you face with installing that radiator.

Fans: you're going to need to install electric slim fans (which you can find cheap at the sponsor forum on honda-tech). If you do decide to install electric slim fans, you can do what I did and cut off those spots where you normally would bolt the fans to (since you're going to use the radiator core itself to support the fans).

Drain bolt: you're gonna need to shave off some metal off from the sub-frame, or else the bolt hits it. An alternative I figure you can do is when you want to drain your coolant, you can take out the top 2 mounts for the radiator, lift the radiator a little bit up and unscrew the drain bolt till you have it out.

is this the vtec radiator or non vtec? is your car vtec or non vtec stock? reason i ask is my 92 lude si came with an h23 but i did the jdm h22 swap. when i replaced the radiator i bought one for the h22 and not the h23. it didnt fit, it was bigger and the mounts did not line up and the nipples? on the bottom sat on the cross member. so i had to get the h23 radiator. hope that helps.
