knocking when i decelerate - Honda Prelude Forum

Ok so when im not giving it gas or braking lightly it knocks like the gaddamn police. if i accelerate or brake hard it stops. i can feel it on the floor. What the hell is gon on?

i also had this prob, my solution was getting a new tire on the side it was knocking...there was something wrong with the tire

you should specify knocking sound because most people refer to knocking as predetonation.

mike's car died.... the check engine light came on as well as the oil light...

temperature was fine......

the car is being towed as we speak back to south jersey and the place that originally did the oil change is being sued....

we'll fill you in later........

That happened to my h23 too.
Needless to say, I now have an engine of a more asain origin.

well..... mike already replaced his h23... it only has about 110k on the new h23.... he spun a bearing the 1st time...

this 2nd time is not being paid for by him.... so now both of us don't have a car... *sigh*

i just hope i get to see him for Christmas

Sounds to me like he spun another bearing and will be on his 3rd H23. That is why I don't let anyone do any work on my car besides myself. I don't trust those monkeys at those types of places.
