knocking?

just wondering if anyone had some info....
when I put my hand on one of the spark plug wires (2nd cylinder) I can feel a knocking coming from the motor. And when the engine is cool you can actually hear it. Anyone have any suggestions?

Start of a spun rod bearing.... Prepare to ditch the engine.... If you notice it get progressively worse over the next few days, its almost definate....

It could be many things not this, but that was the case in mine. Knocking on honda engine is not a good thing ever.

Have you heard vavle tap before? It's more like a loud ticking then a knock.

Mine got to the point where i couldnt take it above 3k rpm's... =] hehe she was burnt

and it didnt just start, i think its been doing it ever since I got it. I never really got around to lookin into it. i think it could be the valves tapping. now that i think about it, it does sound more like a tapping rather than knocking. i dont know. would i be able to feel it in the spark plug wires if the valves were tapping?

if you can feel it in the spark plugs its prolly valve tap.

If it sounds like its coming from like.. IN the motor, maybe from under the intake manifold.. thats no good.

Take a big screw driver, and while the cars on place the handle to your ear, and touch the end of the screw driver to your valve cover and listen.. should sound like a tap tap tap tap kinda sound. That is an easy fix, just adjust your valves.. and that prolly should have been done when you swapped.

I got my motor from steve as well... pulls hard. super clean, i would assume the motor is fine.. just from everyone i know that has purchased from him.

do you think steve would hook me up if anything went wrong? probably not...hopefully its just the valve tapping. i cant imagine spending all this money for this damn motor and its already going out....
