Knock sensor less on f22b1 lower with h23 head

I do not have a knock sensor on my engine which is a F22b1 lower with a H23 head on it. Being controlled by a stock H23 ECU. My question is, how much is this hurting the performance of the car? There is no noticeable difference when the CEL comes on. Yet, it does not seem to get that great of mileage. I can squeeze 300miles out of a tank if its all high way miles. My old PGT would hit around 400 all highway with much more done, and a larger engine.

Your mileage problems are due to the fact that you are running a stock H23 ECU on an F22 bottom end. I'm surprised it runs well at all. If you really want to keep your engine setup, have the ECU tuned.
