Kill switch for all lights exept for headlights.

Does any one know how to go about wiring a switch like this, could this be done. If so I would like some input because I think i might give it a try.

holly crap, I was thinking about this since the other night I took off from a friend and turned off the lights and PULLED on the Ebrake to see if he would pass me and he said he didn't notice except for I was slightly rolling and my cd deck--

so if you could brake and duck then the po po should roll right past.....
I hope

So you want to turn off say the parking lights (Front and rear Tails) but still have the headlights going??

Just connect a switch in series with the RED-BLK wire coming from the headlight switch.

to be effective enough I guess that does make sense so you could
have 2switches 1 for the rear and 1 for the headlights and accessory lights and ect....

ok, do you mean just have a different switch just for your head lights, that sounds like it would be the easiest. So you could just turn off all your lights, the have a seperadte switch just for your headlights. How will you run a switch just to your headlights?

you could just wire a switch going from the Light switch on the steering column to stop the circuit when needed (turn off)
and activate the switch to fufill the circuit, ect

but I would also wire other stuff like the radio and any other
lights

Its very easy to do. We have that set up in my friends car: we wired a switch for the brakelights which allows us to either
1)use the brake lights normally
2)have the brake lights permnantly on (useful for those people who ride your ass)
or 3) have the brake lights permnantly off.

Sounds like a cool mod. I would think this quite nice when trying to be down low.

I know for a FACT that having black rims, a blue-green azure paint color (basically black at night), and no crazy-@ss body kit helps you elude the cops... worked for me.

I had an idea similiar to yours, for the exact same reason. I hate when people tail gate, so it would be really cool to set up a switch to permanently turn on your brake lights and/or reverse lights. Imagine how someone tailgating you would be react if your reverse lights switched on at 40mph.
