Just replaced Spark plug wires but wont accelerate.

HELP ASAP!!! I needed a good tune-up done to my 93 Prelude and went out to Autozone and got me a distributer cap and a set of new spark plug wires. Went home, took out the old and put in the new. Tapped the throttle from the engine to rev about 2 times and then went inside car only to press on the gas a little and the gas pedal went ALL THE WAY DOWN and the engine didn't rev or nothing. Only way to rev the engine is from the throttle from under the hood. I took out out the new and put back in the old to see if I did a cross-fire/mis-fire and also checked if any wires were touching each other and NOTHING. Does anybody know about this trouble-shooting?? Thanks

The little pulley/throttle can still be pushed manually and the engine will rev normally. If it's broken it can still rev??

Gas pedal goes all the way to the floor and absolutely nothing happens? If so, the cable broke...

Yeah I push it all the way down and nothing, not the slightest rev at all. Thanks bro, I didn't hear the cable snap but it would make sense if it's that cuz I just dont see how misfiring and the wires could affect that. I'll take a trip to Autozone tomorrow to get that.....thanks a lot bro.

i think before you buy it you should look at the link carefully cause i had the same thing happen to me after i revved it up at the throttle body, the cable just fell out of where it was supposed to be so i would make sure it is where is it supposed to be before you go out an buy another one

I'll take a look at it as soon as daylight breaks but I don't remember seeing any loose cables or anything out of place. I'll double-check

It was the cable and it came out of where its supposed to be. I overlooked it the day before and it was getting dark so I figured the worst but I got up early the next morning after reading your post and saw the cable had indeed jiggled out and simply put it back in place. She was running like a champ until today when she turned off on me 4 times, problem seems to be electrical cuz I saw the battery light and oil light come on the dash and turned her off and back on and the lights disappeared. The battery is new and a week old though, however I'm going to give her the full tune-up and see what goes. *SIGH* But thanks a whole lot bro lol
