Just received my DC Header... question

Hey, just received my CAI and my DC SS Header. First, thanks to everyone who posted in the H23 Header thread, I thought about it, and read all the posts before purchasing a DC Header from Cox, which by the way, was not only the best place to buy it from because of the price, but I received it 5 days later, so go now and buy something from them, also there's a $10 off coupon code if you make a purchase of $100 or more, just enter 21065 during checkout when you're prompted for a code (there's my endorsement). Anyway, I opened the box and checked everything out, here's my question: The flange on the last 3rd of the header (where it meets the cat) is discolored on the inside of the flange, basically the meeting surface where it would bolt up to the catalytic converter. Also it's around the edge of the pipe itself which meets the cat, and in the groove where one of the washers will go. It almost looks like rust, it's brown, and a little comes off when I rub my finger over it rabidly, but I can't see how it is. Anyone else see this when they first received theirs? I can try and take some pics and append them at the bottom, till then, and clues? It's probably nothing serious, I've just heard 1 or two horror stories about bad welds and what not, so I'd like to figure it out before I actually install it.

Alright, here's a pic, the darker splotches are this webcam's poor attempt to capture the color brown:

right so I got in touch with cox, they said that it is just rust/oxidation from people's hands coming in contact with it (note: it's only on non-stainless parts of the header, but is on most all non-stainless parts), he said some mild sanding will remove it.

So, what, no one else has had this problem, of all the people who ordered and installed DC ss headers?

even though the one place where a stainless steel exhaust piece will likely leak is from a flange with a gap in it? If there's rust on it now, I can only imagine how long it'll take for space to open between the mating surfaces. But you say it doesn't matter, perhaps you're right and I'm just needlessly worrying.

also, just out of curiosity, how long did it take anyone (who installed their header themselves) to install the header?
