Just ordered Crower Stage 1 cams...

I should have them on Monday of next week in which time they will go right into the engine, so it looks like I may be the first person to report on how they do. Along with the new cams my head is getting milled slightly so that will raise compression just a bit. I may eventually get some h22 usdm pistons, but i dont think I will at the time i do this stuff. I am getting new valve seals as well and the machine shop is repairing my damaged exhaust valves.

In a way the timing belt breaking will get my car running much better then before... or at least that is the plan.

420 with 2day shipping, i dont haggle much. I doubt i will dyno before and after seeing as how I am broke since my timing belt went (reason for me buying all these new parts). I will, however, explain the difference I feel

are you going to remove the balancer belt?

too bad you live on the other side of the country 'cause our ludes would make a good race matchup. both w/ nitrous and cams, i wonder who would win? LOL. keep us posted.

my mechanic doesnt recommend removing it, he says that it will give a hp gain, but over time without the belt the harmonics of the engine will take their toll. i figured i will leave it on because i dont want that to cause a problem down the road.

^^^ i guess... im going to remove 'em when i install the cams. i am really hoping for 160 whp w/ the cams, dc header, 2.5 custom cat-back, and no balancer belt. i might buy a s-afc, not sure yet.

are you getting a hondata or s-afc?

yeah Padge, I think it's best to leave the balancer belt on, Honda put it there, might as well leave it. And for any of you about to say "well, they put the air intake resonator in too" it's different, and it's not mechanical.

Pat, you say you're gonna go with Hondata on your h23? I didn't think they made a management system for our engine? Do you have to convert over to a different ecu?

On topic, can't wait to hear the results man, this could be the deciding factor on whether or not I want some CrowerStg2's.
