Can someone please explain to me what is it that makes these plastic, mis-aimed headlights so desireable? I know I'll get flamed for this but I gotta tell ya, JDM headlights fit the definition of "rice", don'tcha know? I really can't figure out why these headlights are such a big deal, everything I know about them makes them seem like a downgrade from our USDM ones. Someone please enlighten, (pun intended), me.

looks.

Plain and simple.

For example.......

Look at son trans car.

That's sexy(IMO)

The black housings really blend into the car and have a more subtle feel to it. The wrap around side marker is a million times better than the usdm. It flows better into the fender and is even.

Now take a look at my headlights.

They stick out like a hooker in church. The reflection off the chrome look just doesn't do it for me. I hate them.

Here is a comparison of the two.

See that nasty thing falling off the end of the USDM? Ya, I hate it. It is so out of place and ugly as hell. That is one of the main reasons I want to get rid of them. They are uneven from my headlights and stick out everytime I look at my car.

All in all for me it is about appearance. I hate the USDM headlights and really like the looks of the black housing JDMs

I'm happy that you don't have to change your headlights and no flaming intended but good for you. Removing the front bumper isn't all that difficult but it is a pita compared to my other vehicles. When you resale your usdm headlights and get some of the money back from what you spent on the JDMs it is well worth it to me.

Again.....

IMO
