when they were inside my head(dont get any ideas) they found a broken piston i was changing my piston rings to total seal rings b/c i had engine blow by and thats what the other mechanic said to do, but while they were in there they said the piston fell apart when they took it off. now i dont know how my car was running but they have the piston to show me,hopefully i can get some pics of it. but i also got the rod bearings replaced and some various seals. this car has cost me 1,600 dollars the past 2 weeks to rebuild this engine. It already had a new engine in it when i bought it. has anyone else had to replace a bunch of parts in their H23? ive also done the camshaft seals, retainers,water pump,timing belt and coolent seal....

4th gen in the house.. hey bro I am rebuilding my bottom end right now too. But I am definately putting some goodies in there. I also had blow by,scared cylinder walls. I am putting some nice domed,high comp. pistons in with some beefy rods too handle my h22a head on there. hopefully some cams and gears but thats pushin it on a family mans budget LOL

he couldnt put high compression in there! but it does feel alot more responsive but i cant drive it hard for another 500 miles to seal in the total seals, its so hard.
