Just curious

I was wondering if anyone had trouble finding their ludes. Around here, I looked for about 3 weeks, at car lots, on the computer, in the paper, and finally found the one that I'm driving. I found 2 in one day, but they were both autos, and I'm a die-hard 5-spd gal, and one had a blown head gasket, and they still wanted 6 grand for it. I've only seen one other 4g around here at a car lot, and it was gone in like 2 weeks. Ludes in this area are HARD to find unless you want to pay 6 and above, the average being 8. I had to go 2 hours away to get mine.....it was the only one that was in my price range. It had high miles and a few minor cosmetic flaws, which is probably why it didn't sell at the price the kid was asking, which was $3500. I was able to get it for 31, though. My b/f wanted me to just scratch the idea of gettin a lude, and buy a civic, going on an on about how the civic is so superior to the lude. So I ask you guys this: If the civic is so wonderful, why do you see them consistently at car lots, 3 and 4 deep, and have to look all over the place to find a lude? Because the civic, while a honda, and therefore a wonderful car, does not match up to the beauty of a lude, and no one wants to get rid of their ludes. That's just my opinion, of course. Anyone agree?

No offense to your BF, but . Civics superior to the Prelude?!? Good one. I needed a good laugh today.

Preludes are rare to find (a good condition one). That's because they're a fine piece of Japanese art.

I had an option to choose from an Accord, Civic, and a Prelude. I chose the Prelude. I've been happy ever since. It's the top dog of the Honda line in my opinion (with exception to some Acuras, and the S2K).

Good luck finding the Prelude.

I figured somebody needed a good laugh today. I love my b/f dearly, and I do love his car, but it doesn't compare to the love of my silver baby. She does have a few dents and scratches, and a lot of miles, but she runs like a scalded dog with no leaks or odd noises. The civic is a fine piece of machinery as well, but will his 2000 model still be in as good running condition when it's 10 yrs old like mine is? Doubtful. How many civics do you see running around that are all beat to hell? How many 4g ludes do you see that are beat to hell? I haven't seen one yet. That's because people respect the beauty of the lude and are ashamed to be driving one that looks like ****. The imperfections of my car aside, it still looks better on its worst day than a lot of civics look on their best. So, I'm a happy lady with my lude, and I am gonna be driving it when I'm 90. At this point in time, I have no plans to ever sell it. I'm gonna have to get something bigger in the next couple of years as my kids get older and it gets harder and harder to squeeze them in the back of the lude, but mommy will still have her lude.

You need to set up an account somewhere. I use www.imagestation.com. When you setup the account upload your.jpeg images there and then you have to link to them.

for instance.

in my sig is an image I uploaded to imagestation.

I opened the picture and right clicked on the picture went to properties and copied the link to that picture. Sometimes it will have orig.jpg on the end and you have to clear that off. After that. Come back to PO.com and insert your picture like this.

[ img ] your imagestation picture link here [/img]

you don't want any spaces or anything. Just give it a shot and I will see if you do it right. If not I can help.

Also,
whenever you reply to a thread there is a little button up towards the top that says IMG

you can click that button and insert your link in there. It does it for you. Give either a try.

Here is a picture that is uploaded in my setup on HP.com

you can right click the image and go to properties to see how the link things works. If you see an image on PO.com you can link to that pic too. So try to post this pic in your reply.

Actually, I'd trade my lude for one of the following:

2003 350Z Track
2002 Skyline GT-R V-Spec
1993 Silver Twin Turbo 2+2 300ZX

Who wouldn't?

You thought you had trouble finding one? It took me a while to find my car. 6 full months. I searched EVERDAY on 3 online sites and checked the newspaper weekly. And now everytime I'm on the road I see at least 3 4th gens .

They only reason your BF may think the Civic is more superior than the lude is that it is much easier/cheaper to make fast.

hahaha...that's funny...the civic wil never be superior to the prelude...in any way...the prelude was designed better overall, and as a sport car was given much more thought into the engine and suspension...as for looks? man...the civic has no personality...no matter what someone does to it....a civic is just a civic...but I've always thought the preludes look nice even stock...Preludes tend to disappear off the lot a lot faster than civics or accords...
