Emissions testing in Japan requires you to basically replace the engines after 40k or so miles.

Why do you think we have all these spare engines from Japan?
Why do you think there are alot of engine swap projects over there in Japan? It's because they have to replace the engines, why not put something different or better?

Swap complete... SHE LIVES!!!

I can only describe it as exhilarating. The H22A is awesome. Idles wonderfully, and really moves when the pedal goes down. VTEC crossover sounds and feels beautiful.

And now for the pics.

Heh, the spark plug wires are made in America.

Congrats! Any hesitation problems?

Yeah, I thought that was funny. The previous owner also took the time to completely polish the intake manifold.

No hesitation problems.

Only thing I need to replace is my O2 sensor. I am getting a code 1 after 20 minutes of driving or so. But engine runs amazingly. Replacing O2 sensor on Friday.

If you are bored, I bought some rustoleum high temp silver spray paint and repainted the spark plug cover. It was 5 minutes of actual work and it looks really really good.

I will probably do that since my plug cover is slightly blemished.

I just cannot get over how awesome this H22 is. I still have a "Si" guage cluster so I almost have to fight my instincts when the tach needle is buried in the red.
