JG Redline Series Head

I just got this from JG Engine Dynamics. It's fully P&P'd welded chambers, new valves, comp retainers and springs, and modified valve guides. Also JG 1001 cams .440" lift in and out, JG cam gears, and JG throttle body. And it's all on my credit card

I'm tryin' to get some pics up hope this one works.
Yes it's for the H23, and JG wants 3000 just for the head. It was made by the owner and he spent 40 hrs welding and blending the metal into the chambers. I didn't pay 3000 bec it's just been sitting around their shop for a while. I guess no one wanted to go NA with an H23. I got a great deal on it, but I can't tell you how great.

Nice. I was quoted $1700 by a reputable Honda dealer to completely build my engine and head. I rather get an h22 though.

Yeah, that setup is godly for an h23. I am not into the extreme horsepower. The main reason I would go H22 is because I want an LSD tranny to compliment my 4WS.

That is sweet, please DYNO it after you get everything settled in and running well. I'd like to see what it's capable of. I've always wanted to build my H23, just haven't had the cash.

I can't wait to see how that head performs... also, if those cams aren't regrinds, then they are the only billet cams ever made for the H23.

I'm not sure if they are regrinds. The set up as it is, is performing very well. I'm waiting for the throttle body JG forgot to send and thoir new lude intake manifold which comes out sometime in April. Right now the engine is being choked. After those I'm building the bottom end so I can rev to maximize the power band of the cam which is 4500-8500. I'm not spinnin the stock stuff that fast. My friend has 96 Impala SS (Corvette LT1 V8) and has I/H/E, chip, gears, and a posi. He ran 14.2 w/o the gears and posi. With those 2 he should be in the high 13's. And when we raced last night I stayed with him all the way through 3rd, which is about 90-95mph for me. So I'm looking for low 14's or high 13's. I blow flames now between gears. And It pulls like crazy. ~Mike

Holy Cow!!!

I'm incredibly jealous Mike! I'm still waiting to find a parts car so Charles in Georgia can do my swap for me! By the way, how is your tranny swap holding up?

He had the last time I talked to him a H22 redline series head. And 90mm pistons for the H22. The swap is holding up very well. I just yesterday started getting weird vibrations that I feel throught the pedals. Doesn't have anything to do with his work though. I bought the tranny from a junk yard on my own.

The number of the cams from JG is 1001, but he won't sell them to you w/o having modified your head. If you don't modify the valve guide the retainer smacks it and you know nothing good could come from that. They are .440 intake and .440 exh. don't know duration, sorry
