jdm yellow fogs and the most coveted switch for a forth gen (pics)

i have had my jdm foglights for about a month now. i was getto and jumper the wires at the plug till i was able to locat a usdm foglight switch. i found on on ebay that sold for 172.50 and i wasnt about to pay that much for a used switch that didnt look that great. i work at elk grove honda, so i had my manager call the corperat office incharge of parts. i had him ask if they would remake the switch, if so i would have bought 20 of them. they said no, i asked cause they remade pistons for my dads 3rd gen when they were out. so i did a invintory search off all american honda dealerships, no one had one. so i searched for a entier foglight kit, there was a dealership in winchester va that had one left. it retailed for 330 and ill just say he gave them to me for a realy good price. so i now have a brand new usdm foglight switch in my 4th gen.

they are rare cause they were never standard on the lude in any contry. they yellow lenses were only on certain years in japan also. there were a total of 4 different foglight switches in the 4th gen prelude and the usdm switch is the hardest one to find.

the jdm one is fairly comon you see about 2 a month on ebay.

the tweeter one is also usdm of 92-93 as hard to find as the 94-96

then there is one i know that i have herd about but neve confirmed. and that replaces the dinner switch with a fog switch and the dimmer switch i smoved ot the center console.

if that is the case we should be able to use the jdm switch from a 5th gen for thta one.

Well I was talking about the switch. Are OEM fogs rather rare?

you can find the fogs easaly but the switch is hard to find. look on ebay there are always fogs on there (clear ones atleast) but they never have a switch.

There is(was) an auction on eBay with yellow fogs and a switch. Don't know how much it is/was going for, but I assume quite a bit.

What I meant was, is it rare to have them on your car from the factory, aka, my car has them original..

Is that a rare option to see? Just wondering..

I've been in the Prelude scene for about a year now, and I've only seen three EVER with stock foglights. Yours, the one I almost bought, and the one on moontractor.com.

I dunno why people bother to try and find that fog light switch for a prelude... just get one for a civic... they go for about $20 or so retail.. I work at a Honda dealership so I got it for $10...

I just got a JDM switch. I'm keeping my 1993 center console, so I don't even have a use for the "rare" one.

dayam.... nice profit there.. well I work for the service drive at Tipton Honda in El Cajon (a city in San Diego, CA county)... maybe I should do a search for those foglights... lol

but yea.. don't mean to hijack this thread.. but I suppose i should show the switch I was talking about that I used for the Daytime Running Lights mod I did a few months back... its for a 7th gen civic.... sorry.. i don't have a pix w/ the wires attached to the plug.... I was making that at work and I didn't have the camera w/ me at the time....

pretty badass to be able to fill at least one of those cover holes for something.. lol.. but yea.. once i get the JDM foglights.. imma make another switch.. and change the wedge bulb on the switch to a different color.. maybe blue... lol.. but yea..
