that is the 94-96 usdm switch...in those cars, the front console was redesigned, and the swtich was located near the gearbox...the 92 to 93 had the switch in the tweeter cover (jdm from what i know)...i m not sure bout usdm 93-93...but that witch will work if you have a 92-93, but if u want to hook it up right, u ll have to wire it and use either your roof, dim, or clock switch location...or u can always extend the wires and locate the fog light swtich to the console where you should have 4 swtich slots...

its definatly not a 94-96 usdm switch. i have a 96 and the plug is different, and the slot where it goes into is smaller.

It's a 94-96 JDM switch. It goes into any of the 4 slots right where the center console is behind the hazard and mirror switch buttons.

Edit: Oh, and this thread from H-T has a pretty good write up on how to wire your JDM switch using USDM wires.

Yea I'm debating on whether or not I really need a switch - I'd really like to use a USDM 94-96, but they're so hard to find .

I would just like to add that the 94-96 USDM foglight switch is the same as the 93-95 JDM foglight switch. Maybe that was a switch for JDM Preludes with the foglights added after the initial purchase?

ok so far every one has been wrong

usdm switches:

92-93 is in the driver side tweeter cover. it is commonly thought to be jdm, however if it were why is the fog light switch on their passenger side.

94-96 is the one that goes in the blank in the console next to the hazard switch. one of the most covet4d switches and have seen them go for 250 on ebay average price is 180-200 depending on condition.

jdm switches:

92-96 is the one pictured above very common and easy to find on ebay for 25-50 bucks. these go in the blanks behind the cup holder in the console. 93 it goes in one of the four blanks the run by the ebrake. in 92 they has a plate that when where the cup holder/change/crap bin is right above the ebrake.

92-96 supposedly there is one that goes where our dimmer switch is by the steering wheel and the dimmer was relocated to the console. i have seen what appears to be the dimmer switch a number of times on ebay and i have actually seen them mounted in a prelude console. however it could be from a civic or accord and just put in there. i have yet to see the fog light switch in a 4th gen switch plate, however I'm sure the jdm switch for the 5th gen could fit there.

if you guys think this should be facted let me know i will update it with pics and make its own thread.

For the 93-95 JDM models, they have a switch exactly the same as the 94-96 USDM switch. I'm actually looking at a JDM 93-95 switch right now. The reason for the dimmer switch that relocates to the console is for JDM Preludes with TCS. They would have Cruise, Roof, and TCS switches in the dash, while the dimmer switch is moved to the console. Also, some JDM and EDM Preludes came without a sunroof and cruise, so the dimmer was moved to the console and a coin pocket was placed in the dash, removing all switches.

From what I understand, the foglight switch that is supposed to replace the USDM dimmer switch is just a 5th gen USDM foglight switch. The 5th gen JDM foglight switch is the same size as the 93-95/94-96 foglight switch, but the foglight emblem on the switch is turned a different direction.

I've been trying to find a company to make copies of the 93-95/94-96 foglight switch, but it's quite expensive and the minimum order is 2,000 units.
