JDM vs USDM ECU

Will a JDM p13 ECU work with my USDM H22?

yes.... althought it will have fuel and ignition maps made for a slightly higher CR, and it will have the 180km/h speed limiter.

So it'll run less timing advance? Might be detrimental for performance if that's the case...

I had a genuine Spoon ECU which is pretty much a chipped JDM ecu and it would not work on my USDM prelude vtec. I am not sure if a JDM stock ecu is any different working wise. I think 4forbidden had a Spoon ecu as well. Too bad, it didn't work.. would be nice to have something not many people have.
