Hey,
You have a JDM H22 your valve cover is JDM But really, my friend has a red one on his red civic Si. It looks good and is good quality, but it cost like 200 dollars. I was thinking bout getting one then decided that money would be better spent else where. besides the black looks good

I have one installed. But first, of all, don't expect any performance gains!

The reason I wanted it, was because everybody from my team with a VTEC engine looks the same. I saw a few painted one's, but I could see they were painted. The JDM ones looks stock. We're at a lot of meetings with our team in my country, so I really bought it for the show. And I think I'm the only idiot in my country who bought the cover for my Prelude.

If I read this right, he has a JDM engine swap with the red valve cover and is trying to decide whether to use the included valve cover or install the USDM black valve cover. It's not like he's dropping $200 to buy a cover that doesn't really go to his engine. I say do whatever looks the best to you and if you don't use the JDM cover I'm sure you could get a few bucks for it. I personally would go with the JDM cover since it makes your swap more easy to notice.

If you plan on getting/or have cam gears a red valve cover can be a good buy. Cut the side of the black on so you can adjust the cam gears and when they're all set put the red one to protect your timing belt. So you don't have to remove the valve cover like 5 times to adjust the cam gears

Definately. How about a Polished one instead.

Oh yeah...

I have one of those in Gr. Tur. 2. It has 342 all motor HP, but it's still slower than my Type-s with 323 all-motor. And both are slower than my SPOON Type-R with 312 A-M HP, but it only weighs 1800 lbs.

I've still got the black one on my JDM.... a red or blue valve cover would look really great, but I can't see myself spending the money on it. There's just too many things I want to do first! My personal opinion is that the blue valve cover would be more original, 'cuz I don't think I have ever seen a prelude with one on it.

Forgot your car was red when I posted that.. defnitely a RED valve cover then... blue cover w/ a red car would just look weird!
