JDM turn signals ARRRRRRGGGGG

Sup guys, I recently bought a set of JDM bumper turn signals and tried to install them. I started with the left side one. It looked pretty straight forward, I just cut the positive and negative, spliced them together and plugged the bulb in. Well, I turned on my headlights and it turned on. I did a little dance of joy and clicked on my left turn light. No luck. No blink. By this time I was thinking 'Uh Oh', so I turned off my headlight. And then the stupid light wouldn't turn off!! After messing with it a little, I noticed the bulb began dimming itself out, and now it won't turn on!

I checked all my fuses and no luck. I would check the turn signal relay, but I have no idea what it looks like. Besides, the front left turn signal works, just not the side one, so I figured if the relay was broken, the front and the side wouldn't be working. I am completly out of ideas.

Any suggestions?

You had to splice wires? the bulbs just didn't swap in?

Are you talking about the sidemarkers or outside bumper lights? The JDM outside bumper lights are almost the same to the USDM except they are just reflectors instead of lights. The bulb might be burned out, too

No, the bulb on the sides are larger and don't have the same mounting points. I don't think the bulbs are burnt out either. I've got side lights that I installed on my fender that hook up to the same wire and they stay on.

If you are talking about the outer front bumper lights, the ones that are clear, the bulbs are still 164 wedge bulbs, even with the JDM ones. Do you have a pic or something?

Theyre reflectors unless you drill holes in them like I stupidly did.

sup guys! Haha. too my car to the dealership the other day and turns out I burned out "THE INTERGRATED CONTROL UNIT!!!" Sounds impressive. Brand new one costs $250.

And not only that, they said since I have so much aftermarket wiring in my car, they were gonna have to charge me extra on labor.

Anyways, I decided I didn't want to bend over and get raped, so I went to the local junk yard and got the control unit for $35.
