repost, don't really understand why would you wanna go through so much hassle to get a incovenience right hand drive prelude (which is available in US market) rather than some other that's not avaiable in US market like skyline or Evo...plus it's auto

Notice he said he is not responsible for registering the car. It doesn't have a vin number so I'm pretty sure there will be problems. Wouldn't you have to put it to american specs before you could register the car or drive it legally on the road?

right now Im in the middle of importing a 90 MR-2 trubo from Japan and I have done good deal researching on importing, and 94-97 preludes aren't that hard to import and made street legal and they are pretty damn cheap in Japan, but the reason he is probley having problems with it, is because it's a 93( heres a link to a list of cars you can import pretty easy http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/.../ELIG0206.html I have been told not to import by a specialist if there not on this list). 94-97 you don't have to do much to the car to have it street legal( dont ask me why ), but any other year of that body model could be a problem. I haven't done much research on preludes but 93's you may have to have body work done, have the engine rebuilt, or even the steering wheel relocated just to make it street legal. You could end up with over 15k in the car to make it street legal, you would have to be a fool to buy this car and try to make it street legal, or just have a sh!t load of cash.

There wasn't an H23 option in Japan.
