Hey guys, i just changed my corner lights and turning signals from clear to black. It looks really nice, but i think something is missing. i dont have pics of the set up yet, but i need advice on jdm projector headlights. The set that u see here, will go very well with my new set up The housing on the headlights is the same as my new corners and turning signals, which also have clear lenses. The only thing i dont know about is how good is the lighting at night. would it be better or equal to the stock headlights. i havent seen anyone with them, so im wondering if they light up good.

JDM are the one piece headlamps (headlamp and cornerlamp together).
Second, cheap imitation projector housing headlamps like those are built with projectors made for foglamps or something cheap and easy to manufacture. I'm not quite sure, but I don't think they'll emit the correct beam pattern. As for the brightness, i don't have the slightest clue.
I don't recall a member on this board with those headlamps, so you may have a hard time finding a definite answer.

hey hey, you've got an answer. I have those, and the answer is that they suck at night. My low beams are like flashlights and highbeams barely equal regular car. But they look ****ing awesom at night and i wouldn't trade them for anything thing else, except mybe some brighter ones. The cure.... just get really high powered halogen bulbs for them
i never said i was certain of those lights being jdm or not. i looked on ebay cause thats there i could find a pic of em,and it said jdm prejector headlights. but then again i dont have clue.i m just interested in the clack housing look. The one piece look doesnt do me any good, since the corner light housin is not black, which is what i m lookin for. oh well, i guess i might have to paint the housing of my stock headlights.

im not sure im following you here,
YOU DONT LIKE THE 1PC JDM LOOK????????
the housing is black on the corner as the entire housing is
black on the jdm 1 piece lights. unless you specifically want
the chrome housing, which it doesnt sound like you do
i know its a crappy picture, but hey you cant be picky when
you dont own a digi cam, you'll use whatever you can borrow.
anyway the pic of the headlight itself is pretty decent

lol, i never said i didnt like the jdm 1 piece. It nice, but its not what i want to do, i want something a lil bit more different. everyone has the 1 piece which looks very nice. But the corners of the jdms are clear inside, and the lens isnt clear at all. i just want something different.iason i want black headlights is cause cause i want it to match my turning signals and corners. i dont have pics of em on the car yet, i will take some as soon as i can get the camera from my girl, but here is what i just put on.

He did it his on the 5th gen, i got a 4th gen, so i dont kno if its gonna be the same, but i will ask. good lookin out.

I had projectors on my old car. I dont know what kind they are, bc i bought the car with them. I thought they looked good, but ALOT of people didnt lol, they lighted up pretty good, but i love the setup i have now.
CMON GUY! don't waste you time painting the housing, just get some JDM 1-piece headlights man! the corners are black enough and so is the housing. or are you trying to go for the WHOLE blackout thing? cuz if you are, then why not just go out and by some "black outs" for the lude huh?
I kinda understand why he doesn't want the JDM 1-piece, it is because on the JDM's the cornerlamp is not clear, its a frost piece.
If that's the case, then you should take the stock headlamps and paint the housing...

Well, the JDM 1-piece headlamps have a little plastic extension for the cornerlamp socket, so its fairly easily accessible from under the hood. But sadly, most of the times, when bought used, they don't have that little extension piece! So you have to squeeze your hand in there to turn the socket and get the bulb out.
But you don't have to take off the entire headlamp just to change the cornerlamp. I would imagine you wouldn't have to take off the corner lamp in a USDM model to change it either?
