JDM Prelude 93 2.2 Vtec Speed Gauge Problem

Hi there i have a little problem with my car, sometimes speed guage wont even work (stay at 0 kmh) and while driving it can start to work...then 10-15mins later...nothing (0 kmh) i dont have any result even on my digital Vtec controller...it looks like a faulty speed sensor ? The car should give me a CEL?

I would guess it's the VSS as well since you are getting no speed signal.

I don't know if that would cause a CEL?

I would search VSS

Since hes too elitist to tell you what VSS is both times he used the abbreviation, it stands for Vehicle Speed Sensor. It will cause your speedometer and cruise control to stop working. Mine went out once too. No big deal if thats what it is, its an easy fix. I drove a couple thousand miles with mine that way since it happened at the begining of a road trip. Got way better at estimating my speed during that time. Also the miles didn't go on the odometer

This never made my car throw a CEL.

Since he could have searched "vss" and figured out all that out...but thanks because I'm getting to the point of not fully responding.

I don't know what your deal is but if you want to continue down this road, by all means.
