Hey, I got some questions regarding the one piece headlights. Is there a good place to order from? Also, are all the 1-piece headlights out there genuine JDM Honda parts? Or are there people out there selling knock off's?
Also, what's the installation like, is it difficult? I just got into an accident and the shop needs to replace one of the headlights. They told me the cost for the one OEM headlight is like $400 something, so I thought for the same price, I'll just change both headlights to the one piece ones.
Good thinking on getting the JDM's for the cost roughly of the one original. The gonig price is usually about $400 or so but again that CND so do the math.
As for JDM knock offs I haven't run into any yet but then again I haven't really been looking. I am sure someone else can fill you in on that. I would doubt it since I have never seen a post of anyone looking for them.
The install requires you to remove the front bumper to put them in. The wiring depending on how you want to do it is fairly straight forward.
If you need more info or aren't getting enough from other members PM me and I'll do what I can. I recently went through the whole process so I might be able to save you some time.
I've never seen any one piece JDM headlight knock offs anywhere near the real thing. New pairs will cost you more than $600 and used ones around $250. Installation is nothing difficult, you just have to remove the front bumper which can be a pain. There is a great write-up in the FAQ forum under 4th gen on how to install.
yeah there are some knock offs.....i don't have any yet.....but i know they have to be made by stanley......it isn't that hard to replace.....you just have to take off the bumper....i just did yesterday......if you need help i can send you the diagram on how to replace headlight assemblies.....

red, I have a set of chrome housings for sale if you want them. Waiting on someone to decide, but if they don't want them, 240 shipped and their yours.
The only other headlights I've seen for 4th gens are those ebay projector ones, which look kinda ugly (sorry to anyone who owns a set), and from what I've heard from one person with them (ludeboom from HAN), they suck too.
Oh yeah, PS, for those of you who swapped yours, and took the chance to hold a USDM in one hand and JDM in the other, you'd also notice that the JDMs are noticeably lighter than the USDM headlights.

just in case anyone cares, factory headlights go for 365 a piece at your local dealer but can be picked up for about 300 or so from majestic honda. brand new jdm lights run 683 (i think) for the pair. used ones can be picked up from passwordjdm.com for 249. the wiring is pretty easy even though i cant get mine to work like i want. i want my low beam low filament on when i have the low beams on. when i click the high beams i want it to be low and high filaments on the low side and the high beams, but i cant get it to work like that. i think i might need a relay or something.

I've read that you have to do some special wiring or something to get your jdm one piece's to light up jdm style, meaning, with a 24/7 running light. However, can you also just use your stock light bulbs and harnesses in the JDM housing so that it lights up the same as it does now? (lows on the outside, hi's on the inside).
