JDM Mirrors are a Pain

haha i am tryin to add the JDM mirrors to the USDM housing and i am noticing some differents and similar parts. duh. the stupid triangle that hold the mirrors are totally different, they have a slight angle on them for the usdm and the JDM differnces. this is why some ppl cant' see out of one side and the other when they add JDM.

here the pissie part, the two moving peices of the jdm and usdm to get a better fit are metal so this might be hard to modifiy

search the EG civic forum on Honda-tech. There was a pretty comprehensive thread about modifying JDM mirrors to fit USDM housings recently.

I didn't know it would be that complicated to do the swap. Weird.

OK now that my hear has cleared a little. a lot of the usdm and JDM parts are the same. differents is the motor.(yes we guess it) the metal triagle and the plastic traigle that mounts the the doors are different. i have to actually go get a dremal, because i think i can modifiy it to work. but not until i get one to use. till then i have a usdm mirror on my floor in peices, and a jdm mirror in peices.

when you do this, do you have to flop the actual mirror part around? cause right now, my passenger side mirror is one of the wider-view, "objects in mirror" types, and the drivers side is normal. would they be switched because jdm ludes are RHD? does it even matter?

Hien, you got screwed...

mine were a perfect fit, everything is the same except for the fact that the USDM mirrors do not have the motor (and the obvious fact that they are made for left had drive). other than those two things, they are the same in every single way.

hahahahaha. ok to califiy what i am doing is this. the JDM mirror actually sit at a different angel against teh door. so the ppl here with JDM mirrors will notice there is very little adjectment to the left on both mirrors. what i am doing is moving the JDM mirror motor into the USDM triangle housing. which is hard, because both parts that need to be modified are both metal.

i am currently using my USDM mirror in my JDM mirror.

Also another note is this. i have two set of JDM mirror.
