JDM Mirrors Clicking - Honda Prelude Forum

I am having a small issue with my drivers side mirror. It opens and fold correctly but when it closes it makes this clicking noise like its constantly trying to close. This goes on for about 5 seconds. If when it closes I stop it before the very end and just hold it it will stop no problem. Again if I let it try to close all the way without interfering I get the clicking.
Just sitting here and reading this I would assume that one of the gears inside is slipping.
At this point I think I'm just going to get another mirror to replace that one. What a pain in the ass

errrrrrr haha how many wire is comming out of the your JDM mirror relayt?

7... Its definitely a gear slip or a fin broken off of one of the cogs. I have another set on route.
I can pretty much guarantee that it has nothing to do with the electircal. Everything is wire, the components are good. I thought there might be a trick to getting the clicking to stop but I dougt after looking at it more closely there is.

I thought you had the same question as I had when I got mine working. I read that there was a memory function or something related, which is why sometimes when I try to close or open them for the first time after starting the car, one open or close cycle doesn't move them, and there's a loud {click} or {pop} at the end of the cycle, and then they work fine. Yeah, if you have the right relay than it must be the actual motor assembly.
