JDM longblock swap question

Hey guys,

I was reading the Parts Classifieds section and someone commented that the flywheel gaurd thing that bolts on the bottom of the block next to the oil pan will not transfer. I was planning on swapping over any parts needed for this swap from my H23 but now I am worried. Will I have to go out and find a gaurd off a JDM H22? If you have done this swap can you tell me what you did?

Thanks

Did you reference part numbers on hondaautomotiveparts.com to verify they are different pieces? If anything you might have to find a H22 one. I have mine sitting on the floor in the garage right now if you need any measurements off of it or something. Hurry though, tranny goes back in tomorrow.

I didn't check there and of course their site is down now

The comment that was made was from a 5th gen owner so I would imagine that the differece (if any) is with the JDM to USDM not H23 to H22.

Thanks for the help though.

odd, mine from my F22 fit perfectly, and im using a Si tranny. I really dont think there is any difference, i think some people just dont know what there talking about. The block's are the same and so is the tranny casing.

Cool,

I was pretty sure that the parts would swap as the blocks are the same. I just got scared when I saw that post.

Thanks for the help.

Yeah, I am doing the swap in June but I figure I would find out now while the topic was fresh in my head. The next two months are going to be interesting

I guess I put a little too much stock into what people here say. That is why I asked.
