JDM IM and USDM IM...differences? - Honda Prelude Forum

Are their any differences in the JDM Intake Manifold and the USDM Intake Manifold? I figured I would just use my USDM IM because the knock sensor is still good on it. Also, it seems to be in somewhat better condition.

Knock sensor is in the back of the block, not the IM.

Only difference I can think of is the lack of an air boost valve on the JDM motor.

ooops lol, I meant to say the TPS sensor. I know the knock sensor is attached to the block

What controls the air boost valve or does it basically control itself? I dont recall it having a sensor so a JDM ecu shouldnt have problems with having an air boost valve on its IM.

it's all vaccum tunnels cast into the plenum. They're there on both JDM and USDM manifolds, there's just a plate on the JDM one to block off the holes for it. Theres no sensor or anything, it's all vaccum.
