I wouldn't try to take them apart if I were you. You may just be opening a whole new can of worms if you do and risk damaging the assembly.

I would take the light off and let it dry out in a nice dry place in your house. You can even use a hair dryer on a low setting to help dry up some of the moisture. Once everything is dry I would look over the entire light for any cracks. If you can't find any cracks in the plastic, then I would use black silicone around all the areas where the plastic backing meet the lense.

I've heard of too many people ruining their lights by trying to open them. If you absolutely have to open them then it is as simple as heating the silicone which holds the lights together to a point where it becomes pliable and can be pulled apart. People normally use heat guns to do this but you HAVE TO BE CAREFUL NOT MELT ANYTHING.

Did you make sure that the rubber gaskets on the back of the lights (surround the H4's and H1's) are on tightly? If they are loose then moisture can enter.

Good luck.

Mark

I would just remove the bulbs and try to fab some kind of flexible stick with a small piece of soft cloth on the end. Try manuevering the stick through the bulb holes to see if you can reach the spots.

That's the only thing I can think of besides opening them. Don't try using alcohol in them! The alcohol will ruin the assembly.

An old member here tried to put rubbing alcohol in his to clean up some moisture spots and he said it ruined the assembly. He was thinking that the alcohol would take care of the spots and then just evaporate on its own, as alcohol is known to do.

I'm not sure what the consequences were but I remember him saying that he was going to search for a new light because of it.

I believe it was ludeconduct (I think).
