JDM Headlights : H1 +/-

What is the psitive and negative wire for the H1 bulb. I have red/blue and re/yellow as the two wires on my USDM wire harness. For the H1 light does it matter which is positive and which is negative?

Thanks

Your JDM H4s are your highs and lows. your JDM H1s are supposed to be your daytime running lights. but USDMs never had daytime running lights. so there are currently no wires that are supposed to go to H1s unless you want to make them your highs.

Actually, if you ask anyone with a true JDM car, the car does not have daytime running lights, the h4 are for your low beams and the h1s are for your highs (just like how a USDM car is wired).

And if you have a electrical tester, you can find out what wire is power and what is ground, i would tell you but i don't have my car readily available to look at.

Good Luck

or you can check your or other posts and see how i wired my h1s are my daytime running lights. And if you have the adapter for the h1s, then it doesnt matter which prong you use for positive or negative. Just make sure you have 1 positive, and 1 negative plugged on the the lights. Do a search, i posted some pics on how i did mine, i ma be nice and link you to the album of my install.

Now if you want to know how i wired my h1s for daytime, do a search, i ve explained it many times, but i ma post a video to show u guys later.

my car is canadian market so i have a daytim running light controller.. our safety regulations require them.

wire them up exactly the same as is ... the low beams match up (black ground), and the high beams polarity doesn't matter ... just as si_g said ..

wire them the same. dont worry about swappin polarity on the high's your all good.

I don't see how polarity can matter on either bulb. It just matters on the H4 which filliment you power.
