i just bought a pair of jdm headlights and to find that the rubber boot and bulbs are not included. does anyone know where i can get these bulbs and maybe the rubber boots as well?
Bulbs at any autoparts store or online store that sells automotive lighting. Rubber boots not sure. You might be able to use ones from another car but I'm not sure if the size is the same.

yeah for some reason i thought i read somewhere that the us bulbs would fit but the chick at the auto store opened up some packages and i got the right ones. got any info on maybe how i can wire them up without buying a conversion harness from passwordjdm?
the high beam bulb has a single prong where the low beam has 3, im sure i got the right ones since they fit the housing. the oem plugs both have 2 wires running from them.

i dunno if yours came with bulbs but the bulbs that i found that fit them for both the high and low beam came out to $100 altogether. good thing the corner lights use the same bulb so i didnt have to buy that but those incandescent bulbs like your tails.

For 100 bux those bulbs better make girls panties drop when you shine light at them. What kind of bulb are they and where did you get them?

They were sylvania and i told the girl there that i didn't want anything fancy, just what fit into the sockets. It also turned out that the high beams weren't right, from what i know they should be H1's and these are but the diameter of the base isn't right so the clamp doesn't hold them and from pics I've seen that it should have 2 prongs where these have just 1. I got them from advance auto, they kept trying to look them up in their computer while i was smacking my forehead constantly repeating that they were from a JDM prelude. These headlights are in MINT condition, just no bulbs in them, so does ANYONE know the code for the highbeam bulbs so I can get the right ones without driving around town?
Well the problem too with those high beam bulbs is that the shape of the base and the 2 bumps are there but the diameter of the metal base plate is too small so the metal latch doesn't hold it.
I ran into the same issue as you with the H1 bulb. Like G_Loc said, there is a 2 prong adapter you need for the bulb. I believe you can purchase the prong adapter through Honda from a 5th gen Prelude since they use the H1 bulb for the high beam as well.
Yeah but these 1 prong H1's base is like too small for the slot, the little bumps go in and all but the metal clamps aren't holding it down.
You're not listening. H1 bulbs are all the same. You're missing a part. There is a bulb socket that the h1 plugs into and the clamp on the headlight holds that down. YOU NEED THAT PART.
Here's a diagram from a 5th gen prelude. You need number 2.
You're getting ripped off if you're paying 100 for Sylvanias. A standard h4 and h1 Sylvania bulb is only 10 dollars a piece. So that 40 dollars for all 4.

So the auto parts store should have this piece? Sorry, I just could have sworn I saw a pic on the net showing the backside of the JDM lights and 2 prongs were sticking outta the back for the high beams. Also, when I went to the auto store (Advance Auto) all they had were the more expensive Sylvania's, I'm gonna just return them all since I haven't used them yet cause I knew from the start that I was probably paying too much. I'm still waiting on my conversion harness which should be here in a day or so.
I haven't seen any auto parts store sell the two prong connector. Only Honda sells it; I believe they wanted $15 for one so in total you'll be spending $30 to get one for each side.

The picture you saw was correct. It shows a 2 prong plug sticking out of the back of the high beams. YOU ARE MISSING THAT PART.
In your situation yours did not come with the h1 bulb or the bulb socket.
You're attempting to stick the h1 in the housing with out the socket and it will not stay and does not look like the picture on the net. When you plug the h1 bulb into the bulb socket it will stay in the head light and you'll see the 2 prong connector sticking out of the back.
The autoparts store probably does not stock this piece and you will need to get it from Honda. You can't ask for a jdm one either they won't know what it is. You have to source it from another car that uses h1s such as the 5th gen Prelude.
