Jdm H22a V-Tec hitting at 6200??

I just got a 93 prelude with a JDM h22a swap, and for sum reason vtec kicks in at like 6200... it dont have a vtec controller or anything so idk y its hitting so late but when it hits it hits hard! it'll go from 6200 to 7200 pretty much instent! lol its crazy! but idk i was just see'n if anyone would no y?? cuz i thought stock h22a vtec hits at 5500? lmk wat you think?

Is the car warmed up when you are "hitting" this vtec?

ya ill have the car all the way warmed up to normal and it just always hits at 6200, idk wat ecu it is yet i havent looked at it. but the only thing i was thinkin it could be is the ecu maybe could b tuned at that??? idk....

o ok kewl thx ya ill look at the ecu and c wat it is and stuff... i also have a vafc 2 controller i was gona hook up but i heard that you should go get your car dynoed and tuned if ur wanting to hook up the vafc 2 or else it could mess stuff up?????
