JDM H22A SWAP w/ LSD ALMOST DONE!

its almost done! i'll be so relieved when I get my car back, there have been some setbacks, needed new axles, the jdm downpipe won't bolt onto the h23 cat, i have a high flow cat I haven't installed yet but i think the flange is the same.... but a friend is giving me his stock usdm downpipe from a 5th gen, hopefully that will fix the problem, but if not, any suggestions?

Now what to do with this...

missing fuel rail and distributor of course. thinking of parting out.

p.s. I didint install myself, but i gave a printout from the faq

and yes, it starts

-peace

The JDM downpipe can be modified to fit the H23 cat. All you have to do is elongate the holes on the downpipe to cat flange. The bolts on the H23 cat are closer together than the ones on the H22. The ID's on both are the same though. Basically just take an oxy/act torch and CAREFULLY elongate the holes toward the center by about 1/4 inch. Best to cut some, test fit, and cut more.

HTH and congrats on the swap (damn I want LSD)

Did you use the writeup that I did? If so, please let me know if there was anything you (or whoever did it) found confusing or unclear. It all makes sense to me when I read it, I just want to make sure other people can understand it.

Swap looks good man! I'll be doing mine AGAIN in a month or so.

Is that one of those ground wire blocks/systems on the right fender? If so, did you just put that on or have you tried it before? I was just wondering if those things helped out as much as they say they do. Later.

I wound up giving the si to jdm guide to my mechanic, I saw yours too, interesting reading for my benefit, espcially about how your downpipe fit onto to the stock s cat.

Just give me a call whenever, I still don't have the car. want to let them finish doing their thing, like axles. Might have to jus take it home and drive open header when they finish though, hehe...
