A while ago, I had a link to a website that described all the physical differences between the USDM H22 and the Type-S H22. From what I can remember, it has port and polish, different intake, larger throttle, different valvetrain, a 45 degree valve seat to accomodate the valvetrain, and a different exhaust header.
If any of you have driven a normal JDM H22, the extra torque, even though it's a little, is very noticeable (at least when my friend got his). The JDM H22 has 10.6 pistons, probably higher lift cams, too. The engine also makes a really cool whirring sound when it runs. So if you've ever driven the JDM h22, you'll wonder what the Type-S feels like...
H23 Turbo vs. NA H22. It's like religion and abortion, You can debate it forever. So I won't go into that.
As for the JDM H23 VTEC, it probably does have oil squirters, and I'm guessing stronger connecting rods and crankshaft. Could someone find me a page with complete specs, and I'll ask one of my friends who can read japanese attempt to translate it for us.
