I know you can use the USDM dist, but it requires more wiring.

you can reuse your USDM distributor. I reused my old h23a1 distributor on my JDM h22a. If you want to use your JDM h22a distributor, you will need a 90-03 accord distributor cap. Those year accords have internal coils. I bought one and it fit but I decided to reuse my h23a1 distributor cause I didn't want to rewire the JDM distributor.

ok... i had my h23 distributor in my jdm h22... that distributor went for a ****... so i decided to hook up the jdm h22 one to see what happend... so after reading tons of post about this ... i though ok.. if it wont work... car wont start... no bifg deal right??

well guess what.... i plugged iti n... and tried starting the car... vroooom away she started...

all i did was leave the external coil plugged in for my h23 distributor... and put a cap over where the wire comes off...

so.. the JDM distributor will work... without any major wiring mods...

jsut arubber cap

so you installed the JDM distributor without any addtional modding?? weird that you don't need the coil. Sorry for the late reply otime12. Yeah, that's the cap you need for the JDM h22a distributor.

Hey,
I am runnin the JDM H22 dizzy. I rewired everything. Then found that I had a bad coil. So I Replaced it with a Blaster SS coil, and a MSD digital 6. So basically I went from an external coil, to an internal coil, to an external coil. hehe,Oh well.
Works fine now
