jdm h22 distributor and usdm distributor

I read the faq on how to exchange them out, but heres my question, instead of changing the wiring to have an external coil, can i just buy a complete usdm h22 distributor and bolt it on my jdm h22 without modification?

yeah, use the USDM External Coil. It's much easier than rewiring everything.

you only really need to change the wiring if your car is an S model. If you are swapping into an Si, you can re-use the H23 distributor without modification.

The bolt patterns on F22 distributors are different than the H22/H23 bolt pattern, so S model owners cannot simply change over their distributor like Si owners.

To answer your question: If for some odd reason you were doing a JDM H22 swap and didn't still have the H23 distributor (broken, sold with engine,. . .whatever reason) then YES, you could simply buy a USDM h22 distributor (or an H23 one, since they are the same).

just making sure that i can do it, because the wording was kind of confusing in my first post......

I have a jdm h22a motor with an internal coil, I need to know if i can just buy a usdm h22a1 distributor, and it just bolt up without any modifications. (this way i can have an external coil connection for my ignition system)
